Role Summary/Purpose

The Drilling Services group is looking for a Lead Reliability Engineer to join our team. This will be a unique opportunity to join a cross discipline team working with state of the art technologies in the energy development industry.
Essential Responsibilities

• Perform failure investigation and root cause analysis for downhole drilling and evaluation tools. Write reports to summarize results and communicate lessons learned.
• Evaluate system and component performance in their application. Monitor for trends and initiate actions accordingly in order to improve reliability, durability and cost.
• Optimize design concepts to meet performance/reliability requirements and cost targets utilizing advanced simulation tools for functional as well as survivability evaluation.
• Complete documentation and change management processes for product enhancements.
• Collaborate with CRA team in design reviews and bench mark studies.
• Present failure analysis results in the technology development process.
• Communication with internal and external customers worldwide as a subject matter expert for the geo.
• Travel to support failure analysis and introduction of new Services.
• Follows standard practices and procedures when conducting technical reliability studies and evaluations.
• Studies design and statistical process control procedures for achieving required levels of drilling reliability.
• Prepare performance reports and process control statistics.
• Setting of corrective measures that meet acceptable reliability standards.
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience with Drilling and Evaluation Services out of which 3+years of MWD/LWD field experience.
• Must be able to demonstrate analytical skills.
• Knowledge of testing procedures and Drilling equipment required to perform quality testing.
• Self-contained, self-motivated and structured to work within a worldwide functioning interdisciplinary team.
• Good verbal and writing skills.

• In-depth knowledge of Drilling Services products.
• Experience in BHGE internal processes (ECO, BHOS, TB, TSP, OP, MaPS, FAST)
• Able to train and mentor junior team members/engineers
