Role Summary/Purpose
The Lead Production Quality Assurance Specialist will plan, direct, and coordinate all quality assurance functions for the ACSC Structures Business Unit. Utilize experience and in-depth understanding of complex and technical concepts and principles to resolve quality issues and improve overall quality performance of the business.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, as the Lead Production Quality Assurance Specialist, you will:
· Ensure that products and services perform according to quality standards and that manufacturing processes are capable and qualified
· Provide overall focus on all quality metric measurements and communication for assigned products
· Drive shop focus to minimize customer impact due to quality concerns and provide in-depth response to open concerns
· Develop and implement quality metrics to drive manufacturing improvements and business results
· Drive preventive and corrective actions to assure compliance to shop manual, repair document, regulatory and quality system requirements
· Work cooperatively with the operations team to identify systemic quality issues within the plant and develop robust root cause corrective actions
· Provide quality support in the development and substantiation for NPI repairs
· Conduct training on quality processes
· Drive a culture of shop quality
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Quality Assurance or a graduate of GE's OMLP program
