Role Summary/Purpose

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for work or projects with moderate complexity. In the role of Lead Manufacturing Engineer, you will meet day-to-day short-term objectives, resolve issues through immediate action or short term planning, and support longer term goals / objectives for the business and for your own professional development.
Essential Responsibilities

In addition, the Lead Manufacturing Engineer will :

·  Define and control production process including tooling and equipment

·  Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment

·  Lead analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods

·  Communicate across direct organization

·  Connect the dots across technologies and develop cross-technology solutions

·  Work on cross-functional projects / teams to deliver technology solutions for the business

·  Communicate across the function in area of expertise

·  Assist Production Supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective action
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment

·  This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

The GE Aviation plant in Hooksett, New Hampshire, is a state-of-the-art facility that uses the latest technology to manufacture components primarily for military and commercial aircraft engines. Vane sectors, tube assemblies and blisks manufactured in Hooksett are assembled into engines at GE Aviation facilities in Lynn, Massachusetts, and Evendale, Ohio.
