Role Summary/Purpose
The Lead Engineer has the responsibility for the technical management of the Dry Cooling Equipment/ Packages such as Air Cooled Condenser and its associated Fans, Tube bundles, Hotbox, Duct, Adiabatic Cooling System, Condensate tanks/ pumps etc. & Fin Fan Cooler along with its associated Fans, Adiabatic Cooling System etc in power plant applications. He/ She will be also be responsible for providing cost effective solutions for proposals & projects.
Essential Responsibilities
· The Lead Engineer has the technical and time schedule responsibility for the engineering work and/or services of the project
· Execution of Dry cooling Equipment and system related activities on assigned project and proposal
· Prepare technical inquiry documentation, do technical negotiations with potential suppliers and prepare offer evaluation report
· Support the Project Engineering Manager and Proposal Manager in their project activities
· Ensure a coordinated approach in all areas with the other Engineering Activities/ Disciplines
· Ensure that the design is per the applicable rules, regulations codes and standards and per good engineering practice especially about environmental aspects and health and safety of site personal, operators, maintenance personnel and third parties
· Ensure the follow-up of the engineering/ tendering processes and the corresponding work instructions
· Coordinate with the PEM/ Proposal Manager and other discipline LEs for the information workflow and mitigate in case of problems
· Participate Design Reviews and the Design Freeze meetings and ensure that corrective actions defined by the Design Reviews are closed on time
· Support in claim negotiations and preparation of relevant documentation and facts
· Support the site and ensure quick processing of NCRs
· Takes care and co-ordinates for “As-Built” Documentation and Site technical assistance for construction and commissioning
· Support the preparation of the Quality Control Plan (QCP)

Shall be responsible to work beyond the mechanical group and shall be able
to drive the other disciplines in the packaging/ de-packaging philosophy for any
system.
· Shall
be responsible for defining and optimizing the plant guarantee conditions
associated with the package
Qualifications/Requirements
Education & Training:
Mandatory (MUST): Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE): Specialization in Power Plant
Professional Experience (Experience gained on the job
during professional life):
Mandatory (MUST): 7 – 10 years of relevant experience in large Power plant projects, Minimum 5 years in the field of Engineering; Ideally thereof 2 – 3 years in the role as lead Engineer, Specific Knowledge about the relevant international codes and standards like ANSI, ASME, ISO, API, HIS, NFPA, API, HEI, PTC, TEMA etc.
Desirable (NICE TO HAVE): Site Experience, Course of studies appropriate to the technical field involved
Functional Know-how:
· Know and apply design methods, rules and tools to specify the systems/ components,
· Power Plant process knowledge,
· Knowledge of Interfaces,
· Good skills in the use of computer applications and computer tools,
· Good knowledge of Engineering, Design and Project Management tools and methods,
· Idea on Controls Systems
