Role Summary/Purpose

Supports Marketing and Market Insights team through data processes and analysis, sharing information and supporting alignment across internal and external customers in specific marketing projects. An enrolled student at an educational institution, working at GE to fulfill academic requirement or to gain practical training and is recruited into GE as an intern with the intention of converting him/her into a full time hire for leadership program or an entry level position.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Support the enhancement of the following processes: market data mining & analytics, visibility reporting, follow up with commercial team, and information distribution and administration
·  Lead marketing metrics programs
·  Coordinate and consolidates field inputs for event management
·  Works on projects often requiring independent decision-making. These projects are normally scoped to last between 2 and 6 months in duration, but can last up to 1 year
·  Develop PowerPoint presentations and other graphic presentations to communicate progress, share best practices, or to provide updates
·  May be asked to analyze data with excel or various other analysis tools
·  May be asked to participate in early talent events, seminars or trainings.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma or local equivalent
·  Current enrollment in a degree program that will lead to a bachelor’s degree: Marketing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Actuarial Science or similar (Graduation date should be within a year or more)
·  Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables & formulas), PowerPoint and Word
·  Advanced level of English (must be able to maintain a business conversation fluently)
·  Effective time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple priorities
·  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
Desired Characteristics

·  At least 24 credit hours of coursework toward a bachelors degree in the function the person will be interning in
·  Previous experience using independent thought processes to plan ahead, process information, maintain workflow and anticipate future needs of the team
·  Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
·  Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction
·  Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions and meet deadlines
·  Team player, capable of working within a globally diverse team across different time zones
