Role Summary/Purpose
The Field Service Engineer- Aviation provides onsite technical support relating to GE aircraft engines. In this role, you will be supporting a major airline/engine shop. This position will act as the liaison between GE Aviation and the customer. Providing feedback and technical guidance to assist airline customers in the resolution of in-service problems and issues while improving reliability.
Essential Responsibilities
· Serve as the primary GE on-site representative
· Provide program leadership, technical direction, and assistance to assigned customers in the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of assigned product lines
· Perform duties for all assigned GE product lines with technical understanding of the operation, maintenance, and trouble-shooting of multiple types of GE products
· Apply Lean and Six Sigma analytical tools to improve reliability, fleet management, and reduce cost of ownership
· Provide single point of contact to the customer, customer team, and all other stakeholders
· Assist the factory with data collection and timely reporting to facilitate fleet performance analysis
· Assist the customer with engine removal planning and forecasting
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college

· Ability and willingness to travel as required to meet the needs of the business
