Role Summary/Purpose

The FCO Team Leader- 3rd Shift serves as the manufacturing shift operations leader for a commercial nuclear components manufacturing operation. In this role, you will be responsible for shift safety, product quality, efficient product manufacturing and positive team member engagement.

Essential Responsibilities

As the FCO Team Leader- 3rd Shift, you will:

·  Lead the third shift (11pm-7am) operations team in GE Hitachi’s Fuel Components Operation
·  Be responsible for strict Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements, specified quality requirements, and production commitments
·  Be the first-line supervisor for assigned team members, including an hourly staff of equipment and machine operators
·  Assure operation planning provides direction to support needs of production area, including work assignments, scheduling of overtime, and training
·  Promote team member involvement / ownership to seek opportunity for continuous improvement
·  Ensure flexibility in operations and team organization to meet business safety, quality, and manufacturing goals
·  Promote team morale, cultural diversity, involvement / ownership, operational skills, and high-quality workmanship    
·  Effectively interface with support organizations to collectively meet the goals and objectives of the Fuel Components Operation
·  Support manufacturing leaders in strategic planning of staffing, equipment and other resources
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (OR Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing role)
·  Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, nuclear operations, technical or supervisory role; experience must include one of the
following:
·  Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a nuclear, manufacturing and/or technical field

·  Minimum of 2 years of technical and/or operator experience in nuclear or manufacturing operations

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

·  Ability and willingness to work off-shifts [initial shift assignment will be third shift (11PM – 7AM)]
Desired Characteristics

·  Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
·  Supervisory experience in a manufacturing, textile or machine shop
·  Experience as a process leader and in implementing productivity tools
·  Experience / interface with NRC regulations, ASME codes, compliance and reporting
·  Corporate training program graduate (manufacturing / operations / engineering) 
·  Proficiency / experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook)
·  Six Sigma training / Lean manufacturing certification or equivalent

·  Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
·  Strong attention to detail and accuracy
·  Ability to bring assignments to successful completion
·  Ability to anticipate customer needs and ensure that they are met
·  Strong oral and written communication skills
·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
·  Strong organizational skills
·  Strong analytical skills
