Role Summary/Purpose

We are looking for one Intern (f/m/d) who will support our Engineering team for three months.

The Master student will be working closely with the engineering team that designs aeroelastic tools for GE’s fleet of onshore wind turbines, aiming to maximize power production and reduce mechanical loads acting on the turbine
Essential Responsibilities

·  Use aeroelastic simulation tools to understand system level dynamics and control of modern wind turbines 
·  Evaluate the effectiveness of different aeroelastic models using simulations and/or field test results 
·  Contribute to the design of advanced aeroelastic tools for wind turbines in operation and in idling
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (aeronautical/electrical/mechanical/industrial) or similar studies
·  Fluent in English language 
·  Strong oral and written communication skills

Desired Characteristics

·  First experience with Aerodynamics, Structural Dynamics, and Aeroelasticity 
·  Experience with Matlab and/or Python 
·  Ability to adapt quickly to change and work successfully in an evolving and culturally diverse environment
