Role Summary/Purpose

To execute activities related to hardware-in-loop (HiL) test setup and automated engine control software testing as part of engine controls team.
Essential Responsibilities

• Work in a global team of electrical, controls and SW engineers on reciprocating engine controls software verification & validation
• Contribute to and lead projects focused on hardware-in-loop test setup and automated testing of engine control software
• Develop and own the global strategy for hardware-in-loop testing of engine control software
• Work with suppliers and vendors to procure necessary hardware, software and equipment required to run the HiL setup
• Interface different types of ECU hardware with the HiL system via CAN, analog/digital I/Os etc
• Write test scripts for automated s/w validation
Qualifications/Requirements

• Advanced technical education in electrical-/mechanical-engineering or computer sciences (technical university – Bachelor or Masters) – focus on controls technology.
• Strong background in hardware-in-loop testing using ETAS/DSpace systems
• Sound knowledge of efficient software verification and validation processes, preparation of test cases and test reports
• Comfortable working with CAN, ETAS-INCA, ETAS Labcar LCO s/w
• Comfortable with developing test automation scripts (C#, Python)
