Role Summary/Purpose

Mining System Control Engineer
Essential Responsibilities

·  Develop, implement & validate control strategies for Off-Highway Vehicle Electric Drive Systems. 
·  Define the overall system requirements for Off-Highway Vehicle Electric Drive Systems and recommend design approaches to meet / exceed customer expectations. Execute creation of necessary system documentation to flow down requirements to detailed component design teams. 
·  Evaluate detailed design for technical merit & adherence to sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. 
·  Support factory build of prototype & standard production systems. 
·  Coordinate sub-system validation and reports for testing performed internally, at 3rd party sites, or on customer site. 
·  Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments 
·  Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, for durations of 2 to 3 weeks
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other Engineering Discipline 
Desired Characteristics

·  At least 2 years of experience in an Engineering position
·  Minimum of 1 year of experience with harness development 
·  Experience in schematic creation and electrical integration 
·  Experience with multi-location teams involved in design and validation activities 
·  Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems 
·  Strong oral and written communication skills 
·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
·  PC proficiency
