Role Summary/Purpose

Develop and test the implementation of an embedded Operating System (OS) into a COTS embedded platform for the next generation of GE Aviation Engine programs.
Essential Responsibilities

Research and execute the implementation of an embedded OS into a COTS.
Implement a functional prototype with the selected embedded OS.
Develop supporting tools to improve the current and improved GE Aviation Engine Software Development processes.
Document technical data that is generated to substantiate the assignment.
Provide timely communication on significant issues or developments.
Support & solve problems of limited scope and complexity.
Self-check of work.
Qualifications/Requirements

Attending the last semesters of the BSc degree in related fields (Computer Science, Informatics, Mechatronics, Electronics).
Availability to work 8 hrs per day.
Good programming skills in C or similar.
Experience working with Linux platforms.
Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
Communication skills in English. Must have Intermediate level (Must be able to maintain a conversation) at least 700 TOEIC points
Legal right to work in Mexico. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
Desired Characteristics

Familiarity with RTOS.
Experience working with embedded platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ARM, etc.
Awareness of security issues in embedded platforms.
