Role Summary/Purpose
Design of high voltage and medium voltage substations by creating basic design (SLD, layout), calculations and detailed design drawings (sections, tray arrangements), as well as performing material survey (steels, HV connectors, cable trays, conductors). Role will be responsible to check supplier offers, estimate material quantity and adequacy of subcontractor design to customer specifications and international standards.
Essential Responsibilities
· Basic design of primary systems: Analyze customer requirements and national/international standards to prepare basic design for primary systems. SLD, calculations, basic layout
Implementation of primary systems: Implement detailed primary design based on basic design prepared. Prepare 2D drawings (layout, sections) and detailed 2D drawings (cable tray arrangement etc.). Prepare BOQ for electrical equipment, civil BOQ, apparatus survey and BOQ (trays, connectors, conductors etc.).
Control of sub-contractor design: Provide input data to primary design/civil sub-contractors and steel manufacturers and follow up of design process, control/approve subcontractor’s drawings.
Qualifications / Requirements
BE / BTECH Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree is an asset.
Very good command in written/verbal English.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in high voltage substation design, electrical layout arrangement drawings. Low Voltage Design experience is an asset.
Hands on experience on AutoCAD is mandatory, 3D design experience (Inventor) is asset.
Desired Characteristics
Knowledge on protection systems (for electrical engineers) is preferred
Having experience of 2-3 years in the field of detailed electrical engineering of EHV substations. GIS experience is having added on advantage.
On time deliveries for various project drawings
Qualifications/Requirements
· BE / BTECH Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree is an asset.
