Role Summary/Purpose

The Digital Workplace Champion is an experienced professional who leads the effort to create a work environment that boosts workforce digital dexterity through an engaging and intuitive work environment by driving digital culture change.
Essential Responsibilities

The goal is to improve the employee experience so that the organisation can profit from digital business models and enhanced workforce effectiveness to achieve its business goals using an agreed or designed Digital Roadmap

The primary focus of the Digital Workplace Champion is to maximize the effectiveness of individual employees, teams and the organization by designing and supporting the implementation of digital solutions, leading innovative workplace services for engagement, building them for scale and running them for continuous change.

Role and Functions:
The Digital Workplace Champion is tasked with creating the work environment that encapsulates the details listed above. This is achieved by:

·  Championing the needed organizational and process digital changes

·  Giving employees a voice by allowing them to participate in ideas process, innovation drives and hackathons (AWO)

·  Developing a digital workplace service portfolio

·  Using relevant metrics to track and optimize digital workplace services and operations – identifying appropriate metrics to show value proposition

·  Interpreting business requirements for the platforms, engineering, logistics, finance and all other functional departments.

The Digital Workplace Champion is expected to influence the organization-wide reinvention of the workplace in such a way that employee and team engagement, agility and digital dexterity increases. This influence will also extend to the reinvention of workspace resulting in the creation of organisational wide digital ecosystems — the physical and technical “fabric” that forms the spaces in which employees work and collaborate. The Champion in this position is expected to contribute analysis and guidance to decisions about selecting, combining, exploiting and using relevant employee-facing technologies.

The Champion will work with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and cross functionally within the platforms to determine how to best communicate the digital workplace vision, strategy and progress against the organization’s goals to all levels within the organisation. One key task of the digital workplace champion is to gain the informed, active support of these executives and leaders to bring about the widespread change required to develop and implement a workforce strategy that harnesses technology, human capital and consumer trends.

The digital workplace champion works with corporate communications and cross functionally within the platforms to develop a communication plan. This plan educates the organization about the digital workplace vision and the objectives of specific initiatives so that the whole organization is aware of, and buys into, the digital workplace concept.

The digital workplace champion participates and interacts in the following cross functional workforce domains including meetings, process mapping/redesign etc:

·  Operations / Platforms

·  IT & Automation Team

·  Planning

·  Enterprise Architecture
Qualifications/Requirements

Responsibilities

·  Champions digital workplace initiatives that support the organisations digital business transformation,

·  Works with the SLT and cross functionality to establish the digital workplace vision. Once the digital workplace vision is established and embraced, the digital workplace champion ensures its ongoing visibility and awareness through a well-orchestrated communications plan and associated meetings. This person also leads the work of adjusting the vision, when warranted by changes in business conditions in line with the available technology on site.

·  Works collaboratively with the platform teams and executive leadership to ensure that the workforce is able and willing to embrace a potentially disruptive transformation in the workplace.

·  Creates a process so employees have a greater voice in technology directions and workplace interactions.

·  Involves business process management professionals to make existing work processes more effective by rethinking, simplifying and redesigning them. Explores and improves how employees engage with each other, as well as with customers and business partners using the Crotaville Lean toolkit.

·  Identifies leading-edge thinking and works with the employees involved to bring these activities into the broader corporate technology portfolio, thereby establishing greater trust between employees and the digitally transformed organization.

·  Sources new kinds of services to drive business innovation throughout the organization. Defines processes for the effective, integrated introduction of new digital workplace assets.

·  Involved in the development, publication and maintenance of the corporate digital workplace architecture, as well as the roadmap for its future development, which matches and supports business needs.

·  Develops metrics that allow the organization to measure the success of its digital workplace investments. Ensures that this data is collected, analysed, tracked, communicated using performance scorecards, and acted upon.

·  Seeks out new technology trends that should be brought into the workplace.

·  Works closely with colleagues in infrastructure and operations (I&O) and procurement.

·  Data strategy to make data and analytics an asset to the company

·  Maintaining GDPR compliance in all processes

·  Benchmarking with external agencies to develop GE Corks digital Journey

·  Establish a mechanism for demonstrating a value proposition for digital initiatives

Qualifications

·  Education to Master’s Level in a related field

·  Strong work experience, across various system/operational platforms (S&OP)

·  Data analytics/data civic scientist
