Role Summary/Purpose
Grow with GE Healthcare’s Global Compute Platform team. Participate in projects to improve reliability, and ability to diagnose and repair platform compute devices shared by the Imaging businesses. Work cross-functionally and globally with suppliers, service and modality partners to deliver significant financial results and customer satisfaction. Influence future technology road maps.
Essential Responsibilities
· Contribute to Early Life Failure reduction projects, working globally and cross-functionally.
· Identify compute reliability improvement and Early Life Failure reduction opportunities by synthesizing meaningful data.
· Work with internal and external repair depots, and manufacturing to develop improvements in diagnosability and repair.
· Work with engineering, sourcing, and hardware teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts
· Collaborate with Service to improve field procedures and processes to reduce cost and improve customer satisfaction.
· Conduct autopsy of failed devices to maximize learning, and drive to understand fundamental root cause, physics of failure and conclusions.
· Work with New Product Introduction programs and cross-functional teams to drive reliability into computer projects
· Evaluate new compute technologies and determine their impact on quality
· Participate in Technical Design Reviews with specific recommendations for quality improvements.
· Visit repair facilities and customer sites to ascertain effectivity of improvements
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or closely related field
· Experience with compute technologies
· Experience working with suppliers
· Ability to work effectively in a global cross-functional team environment
