Role Summary/Purpose

You will manage long term supplier's relationships by providing contract management and buying activities, supporting of Regional Engine Services and Support organization. This role involves dynamic interaction with the engines, customer support and customer Teams. This is an excellent position for those looking to expand into program and customer support roles.
Essential Responsibilities

As the Composites Nacelles Lead Sub-Commodity Management Specialist, you will:

·  Be responsible for developing and delivery schedules with selected suppliers, based on GE Engines S&OP process

·  Manage procurement (buyer) and delivery (CA) of assigned product lines

·  Own suppliers’ contract

·  Drive change to current processes

·  Lead contract negotiation for new programs

Additionally, you may also be responsible for:

·  Supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels

·  Leading negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers

·  Negotiating terms and conditions and transmitting information to Procurement Teams

·  Managesclaims
·  Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
·  This may also include purchasing activities

·  Develop new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations

·  Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects

·  Work together with high level people from the business at SPB and EB level

·  Specify needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done

·  Provide technical / commercial assistance to Commodity Buyers to develop awareness of manufacturing processes and improve product knowledge

·  Actively participate in supplier performance reviews

·  Advise Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures within their own field

·  Contribute to project as a team member or leads small projects
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Sourcing)

·  Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Delivery Operations, Commercial Operations, or Contract management

·  Experience and capability of managing and resolving contractual issues

·  Manage multiple task and initiatives

·  Experience with Engineering Configuration processes

·  Experience with Supply Chain Fulfillment, ITC, Receiving, and Planning processes
