Role Summary/Purpose

The Compliance Engineer demonstrates accountability for regulatory compliance objectives for the various business product lines. Responsible for the Engineering Technical Regulations & Standards review process, identifying applicability and document requirements for spare parts shipping into regulated countries.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Perform Technical Regulations & Standards compliance review on quoted/ordered parts

·  Verify Technical Regulations & Standards compliance documents collected from part manufacturers

·  Contact vendors for part’s technical data and technical compliance information

·  Maintain commercial authorization codes in ERP

·  Maintain the TRS document repository

·  Support quotes compliance screening process

·  Run compliance screening on Unit spare parts lists

·  Ensure that replacement parts are added to unit records and compliance requirements are added to part drawings if necessary

·  Support ERP new releases and ERP-PLM compliance integration

·  Support compliance data and document migration from Document Repository to PLM

·  Lead projects for Technical Regulations & Standards compliance process improvements

·  Participate in projects to extend transactional process into other regions

·  Create and maintain weekly and monthly metrics for compliance reviews and doc. Validation

·  Follow EHS rules and warn others to follow the rules, execute mandatory EHS trainings and immediately report the incidents and near misses as required

·  Further tasks not involved in this Job Description that the immediate leader/manager assigns verbally or in writing
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Technical University or Collage Degree / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge or work experience

·  Must be able to read drawings and have familiarity with Bill of Material structures

·  Ability to comprehend quality documentation such as test reports, certifications

·  Must be proficient in Writing/Speaking/Reading in English

·  Ability to apply statistical methods to analyze data

·  Good interpersonal, strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills

·  Ability to work in a matrix environment

·  Pro-active approach to problem solving

·  Detail oriented, organized, conscientious team player with strong sense of ownership

·  Capable of designing, selling, and implementing process improvements

·  Ability to quickly and effectively learn business operating systems

·  Support trade compliance team with parts custom’s classifications

·  Successful applicant will be legally eligible to enter into an employment relationship under the laws of Hungary.)
Desired Characteristics

·  Some experience in energy industry is an advantage

·  Product compliance related experience

·  Familiarity with CE directives

·  Intermediate level of French is an advantage

·  Certified Green Belt

·  Prior experience in drafting, design engineering, or field engineering is preferred

·  Strong computer and systems skills including Excel, Access and PowerPoint

·  Strong problem solving skills

·  Strong attention to detail

·  Ability to design, sell, and implement process improvements

·  Strong oral and written communication skills
