Role Summary/Purpose

The Assembly Technician - will perform duties related to the disassembly, positioning, reassembly, testing and painting of moderate to highly complex equipment utilizing a combination of manual, pneumatic and hydraulic tools for fitting, adjusting and securing maneuvers providing service and refurbishment of wellhead equipment, frac stacks and rental tools and building new wellhead assemblies.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Assembly Technician, you will:

·  Conduct all business-related tasks according to GE’s Spirit and Letter policies

·  Be capable of travelling within the US to work at customer locations or other GE facilities as needed

·  Participate in PC EHS Programs

·  Perform Assembly Technician duties as directed by supervisor, perform repairs on frac equipment including cleaning, disassembly, repair, assembly, test, grease and paint

·  Assemble wellhead equipment and trees

·  Comply with PC QA/QC requirements

·  Complete routers, test documentation and other documents as required

·  Operate test bunker, greasing unit, forklifts and cranes

·  Perform painting of equipment

·  Participate with housekeeping
Qualifications/Requirements

·  High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Work overtime, weekends and holidays as required

·  Be on call as required

·  Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities

·  Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required

·  Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

·  Work inside and outside, as required

·  Obtain or currently possess a forklift operator license and certification to operate overhead cranes

·  Read and correctly interpret prints / drawings and specifications and complete assembly and test tasks as well as safety and quality documentation
Desired Characteristics

·  Strong knowledge of existing drilling and production surface wellhead equipment, frac equipment and rental tools

·  Team player

·  Ability to work un-directed per engineering specifications and inspect own work for integrity and quality

·  Knowledgeable in good housekeeping requirements and all safety regulations

·  Basic math skills

·  Previous manufacturing / shop service center operations experience
