Role Summary/Purpose

The Application Operations Specialist has responsibilities extending to resolve the field issues and support IB activities for all the application within the Digital Services Technology Business
Essential Responsibilities

• Passionate to support production issues day in day out and open for opportunity to work on bug fixes
• Work with customers to understand and resolve incidents on assigned applications on primary and secondary support model
• Work with a global team to create innovative solutions that prevent incidents from occurring
• Understand the assigned application architecture, infrastructure, development process, technology stack and functionality to provide excellent support to users issues.
• Monitor applications alerts and act on it based on SOP
• Maintain and understand downtime data and root causes for application unplanned outages
• Handle escalations from customers, management and communicate application and outage metrics to stakeholders/customers
• Weekend/Holiday support on rotation basis with other team mates
• Maintain good relationships with teammates and customers with quality interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge in programming languages including REST, JPA, Spring, Spring Boot, AngularJS, RabbitMQ, Oracle PL/SQL, MongoDB etc
• Knowledge on at least one application server or one webserver
• Knowledge on Unix/Linux commands, knowledge on application Server configurations
• Knowledge on RDBMS includes Oracle
• Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
• 0-4 years’ experience using object oriented design, data modeling, and analysis methodologies
working with Enterprise Java technologies.
• Experience working with Global teams and cross functional teams
