Role Summary/Purpose

The purpose of this 10 week internship is to provide graduates of the MSc in Aviation Finance in UCD with an opportunity to gain invaluable experience in Aviation Leasing Financing. It seeks to provide an enriching experience through challenging assignments that will lead to Industry experience and professional skill development while also making a real contribution to the business.

Essential Responsibilities

• The industry uses the Lease Rental Factor as a rule of thumb to determine what an aircraft could be worth. Yet, this ratio is not accounting for other attributes of the lease such as tenor, lessee credit quality, aircraft type, jurisdiction, maintenance reserve payments, return conditions and phase in the industry cycle. This project will involve using PK's transaction evaluation Monte Carlo model to establish sensitivities and refine the Lease Rental Factor approach.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Currently studying towards an MSc in Aviation Finance with University College Dublin (or equivalent)
• Strong familiarity with Excel and financial mathematics.
• Highly motivated with ability to work on own initiative
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal
• Experience in Aviation leasing and finance would be a strong advantage
