An opportunity has arisen to join the Materials B- Receipts team. As an Aircraft Engineer you will have the authority to provide certification to perform inspection, repair, overhaul, modification, replacement or defect rectification of an engine or its components. You will have technical responsibility for the engine or its constituent parts and the processing of maintenance data relating to the parts.
You will be required to carry out any one or combination of overhaul, repair, modification, inspection, replacement, or defect rectification of an engine/module/accessory/component/unit Restore used parts, component/assembly/engine/module/accessory/unit by inspection, and/or replacement in conformity with an approved standard to extend the operational life
Restore a component/engine/module to a serviceable condition in conformity with an approved standard and to ensure that cost effective operation is achieved
Visual inspect incoming component for obvious signs of damage or deterioration.
Ensure the component has been overhauled by Vendors in accordance with purchase order and holds the respective paperwork and certification
This role will require shift working.
· Completed an ‘indentured’ engineering apprenticeship
· A-Stamp Certified
· A previous background and experience of mechanical engineering in the aerospace industry
· Relevant aerospace/aircraft engine overhaul experience

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. · Previous experience of inspecting parts
· Knowledge of SAP
· Experience using E-manuals or reviewing technical data
· Proven ability to work as part of a self-directed team
