Role Summary/Purpose

Design and develop next-generation MRI reconstruction methods and the underlying core technologies that result in improving image quality achievable per unit time for a given resolution. Translate these new capabilities into product solutions.
Essential Responsibilities

Designs and programs a small module or a large component, feature, set of feature, whole feature area or entire product. Some areas of expertise may include, but is not limited to, networks, operating systems, databases or applications. May be responsible for the creation of an entire product. Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations. Works together with business leadership at SPB and EB level. Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done. Delivers products as part of a team. Works on cross functional teams. Alternatively: Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods.
Qualifications/Requirements

1) Advanced degree from an accredited university in Engineering. Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Software Development.
2) Image Reconstruction Expertise. Has practice-level expertise in advanced MR image reconstruction methods. Working knowledge of iterative reconstruction methods for compressive sensing is highly desirable.
3) Deep Learning Expertise: Demonstrable expertise & technical acumen to identify applications of DL to MR image reconstruction and system development
4) Systems Engineering: Define and develop reconstruction capabilities that meet customer requirements
Technical Acumen: Understand the limitations & capabilities of external benchmarks and develop novel methods for disruptive MRI system designs

3) Familiarity with GE Orchestra Image Reconstruction environment
4) Experience in application of Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence to medical imaging
5) Experience in Machine Learning development libraries such as TensorFlow and Keras and programming in Python
6) Can-do attitude, flexible, intellectually curious
