Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for orders, commitments and convertible orders for a defined region across all product portfolios. They will manage the customer relationship for their accounts in their respective territories. Lead deal negotiations & closure with customers partnering with commercial operations & product sales leaders. Develop winning strategies, to achieve order closure. Products and systems requiring technical knowledge. Some customization to client conditions can be done.
Essential Responsibilities

• Account ownership … lead customer relationships for assigned accounts, across the entire Power Services portfolio. Be the face for Power Services commercial organization and link customer needs to GE solution offerings.
• Account planning … Understand the customer environment and drive the development of account plans, to ensure the team fully understands the customers and build the strategic plan for long term SAS expansion and penetration.
• Fleet ownership … continuously monitor and maintain accurate plant/fleet data, and use of the data to direct wider team in driving growth opportunities
• Outage planning … Drive 24-36 months outage planning, and associated penetration of Parts, Repairs and Services opportunities on each outage.
• Opportunity pipeline management … continuously monitor and drive the development of the opportunity pipeline in the assigned territories, and ensure pipeline health vs. OP.
• Deal development & closure … Directly engage in competitive pursuits with responsibility for closing deals.
• Campaign drive … longer term campaigns to ensure the pipeline build for the future markets and drive these initiatives with scale. (i.e. including functional/global experts)
• In order to enable these, the Account Managers are also responsible for:
- Partnering with the Verticals team, CommOps, Application Engineering and Global Threads team to deliver value to our customers via our service offerings.
- Driving discovery session to identify and develop winning solutions for customers
- Owning the maintenance of accurate and current project and opportunity information
- Translating high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications and managing requests for changes to the specifications.
- Maintaining functional peer relationships and detailed working knowledge of the assigned accounts’ systems, organization, and business processes.
- Being the voice of the customer; becoming a trusted advisor to our community of customers.
- Ensuring understanding of customer needs and drive quality interactions and sales outcomes; leveraging the Value Selling Process.
- Providing team with detailed status reports from customer service on all account activity including all open orders, proposals, and projects.
- Communicating competitive intelligence and activity to manager and business unit to ensure we keep ahead of opportunities, obstacles and challenges.
- Presenting GE Gas Turbine service product solution/campaign directly to customers; when appropriate, In partnership with assigned Account Managers.
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business from an accredited university or college
• 10+ years of experience in industry-related engineering, sales and/or marketing including minimum 3+ years in a customer-facing role
• A strong understanding of customer relationship management, market and Customer Service related business processes.
• Determination to win in the market against competition.
• Strong accountability & high say-do ratio in achieving the target set
• Ability to think strategically about transactional deals, as well as the longer term pipeline build
• Ability to communicate complex issues in simple terms via written and oral media.
• Ability to forge strong business relationships and connect with all level of customers.
• Team player, with ability to leverage the capability of the team fully
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
• Travel ~50% of the time is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication - creative and business focused problem solver
• Demonstrated leadership in all areas of business analysis including client interaction and process design, requirements management and functional design
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
