Job description

Acts as the technical authority in front of customers and project technical teams.
Define customs, products and technologies deployment strategy for customer's solution
Ensures the overall projects technical consistency (server, card, OS ….) by taking care about all constraints.
Is accountable of the high level Solution design (documentation, specification …)

Contributes to requirements gathering (business, NFRs , technical)
Contributes or leads customer technical & business workshops
Reviews the low level design specified by R&D
Reviews the testing strategy specified by QA Leader
Delivers and presents the technical customer Solution roadmap to the customer by taking in consideration new product's features as well as customer requirements
Negotiates technical options during either pre-sales or change request with customer.
Anticipates technical risks by proposing technical mitigation plan.
Performs Architecture Peer Review as needed
Negotiates and explains required features to be pushed to product line
Gives technical training on delivered solution to customer and/or internal technical teams.
Contributes to the GGS regional architects community
Provides technical support to pre-sales teamReports her/his progress to Project/Program Manager all along the project.

Desired profile

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 UML modelling tool (Enterprise Architect is a plus)
 STIM (footprints)
 Java (J2SE and J2EE practice…)
 Java IDE (eclipse …)
 Application & Web servers (Weblogic, Apache Tomcat)
 Microsoft Project is a plus
 Agile process practice is a plus (SCRUM …)

 Able to understand SLA & commercial offer
 Able to write and drive Gemalto design & requirements documents
 Able to contribute or lead technical/business customer workshops
 Able to build the custom components & Gemalto products strategy for a customer
 Be the referent for one Gemalto Solution and able to have good knowledge on another one
 Able to review the low level design specified by SHD Technical Leader
 Able to review the testing strategy specified by QA Leader
 Able to build & present technical Solution roadmap to customer
 Able to drive the technical change request process (technical options choices & negotiation, work estimate …)
 Able to deliver help on pre-sales opportunities when requested
 Able to assess the effort for architecture part and challenge/drive other teams (QA, integration, and development) efforts.
 Able to share progress , risk(s) and alert(s) to the Project/Program Manager
 Able to work on multi-sites environment and have remote project management practice.
 Able to work with a multiple stakeholder's project (subcontractor, other companies …)
 Able to contribute to the GGS regional architects community to ensure the growth of the architecture knowledge.
 Able to perform architecture peer review and to apply the related process
 Able to provide technical training to technical teams
