Cloud Services Architect

Job description

The Cloud Services Architect works within and across the Software Monetization Product Development organization (SM Global DevOps, Engineering, Product and Program Management, CTO) to ensure cloud infrastructure and licensing applications are architected and designed in accordance with cloud native practices to be operable, scalable, cost effective and secure.
This position will play a critical role in evolving Sentinel licensing solutions from on premise to cloud and container ready solutions. Responsibilities will include both advocating and evangelizing a services strategy and integrating new software components into the existing Sentinel Cloud and EMSaaS Services platform. The Cloud Services Architect must be equally comfortable working with software developers, architects and Operations engineers with fluency in both application frameworks, cloud infrastructure and microservices.

Qualifications :

Required Experience
·  Designing applications and solutions that are deployed on AWS, Azure or GCE
·  Broad and deep industry knowledge of best practices and design principles of cloud native applications, microservices, and containers
·  Architecting solutions in cloud native frameworks in Java, C#, Node.js, or Go
·  Production experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS, Swarm)
·  Demonstrated track record of evolving and decomposing monolithic applications into granular components and services
·  Experience designing and deploying application components that support 12-Factor Application principles
·  Strong experience in relational and non-relational databases
·  Experience with cloud native design patterns (CQRS, Circuit-Breaker, Throttling, Service Discovery, etc.)
·  Experience with queuing systems and service bus (e.g. RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, SQS, SNS, etc.)
·  Familiar with new security challenges specific to Services and Cloud Solutions (DevSecOps)
·  Has demonstrated abilities to evangelize Cloud and Services transformation within Engineering organizations (architecture, technologies, mindset…) through excellent communication, sharing, mentoring and relational skills.
·  Comfortable to work with multicultural and cross located teams (Europe, India, US, Israel) requiring frequent travels and ability to cope with cultural specificities

Desired Experience
·  Previous experience developing and deploying Java/J2EE Applications and Services
·  Delivered isolation of customer specific extensions and configurations for cloud services
