Job description

Essilor (Suisse) SA sells glasses and instruments for the optical branch in Switzerland. The 46 employees are doing the whole job for the country; Direction, Sales, IT, Service Center, Marketing, Finances and HR. The major activities are done in Gland and there is a second Service Center in Trimbach, ETSCS (Essilor Technology Service Center Switzerland) which makes the technical part of the activities for Essilor in Switzerland. IT and Financial activities are provided by Essilor (Suisse) SA.
This means that the employees are hired by Essilor (Suisse) SA but have the chance to work for both companies with their own specific features.

- The IT department (4 people) provides services and materials for all Essilor and ETSCS employees in Switzerland and all business objectives.
The candidate will be part of the IT department of the Swiss subsidiary based in Gland, Switzerland (close to the Leman Lake, 30 minutes from Geneva).
MISSION :
The mission is to improve the IT quality and to manage the evolution of our IT tools by :
- the standardization of the process on country level
- playing an active role on IT projects
- the implementation of Group solutions and strategies
- being IT support level 1 & 2 (internal & external)
- the Masterdata management
Through the mission, the candidate will report directly to the Country IT Manager and will benefit from :
- a 360° view of the IT business in a small entity
- the proximity to daily business
- diversity of the activities
The candidate will learn and gain analytics and IT projects skills.
We are looking for :
- a master degree in IT candidate with strong knowledge in operating systems, network and databases
- with required competencies as :
=> communication & coordination
=> autonomy
=> flexibility to travel if required to our second site in Trimbach
Languages :
- Fluent English is mandatory
- German language would be really appreciated

- LOCATION :
Gland is located between Lausanne and Geneva. There is plenty of activities in these two towns for the young people as well as cultural activities or famous places to visit.
The office of Essilor in Gland is modern and friendly. It is an open space with different parts for each department. This invite the people to know each other and to work together.
This entity is in direct contact with internal and external clients and support the whole commercial activity by proposing professional and quick solutions.
