As a CBS professional, you will work across teams to provide the knowledge, resources and tools that help EY deliver exceptional quality service to our clients, win in the marketplace and support EY’s growth and profitability. Major teams within CBS include Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Enterprise Support Services, Brand Marketing and Communications, Business Development, Knowledge and Risk Management.

The opportunity
The Workplace Services Coordinator - Technical is a key member of the Workplace Services team. The objective of the team is to support EY’s vision of ‘building a better working world’ for our people, our clients, and our communities.
This role is responsible for maintaining the smooth technical operation and work environment of the EY tenancy on a day to day and long term basis.

Your key responsibilities
·  Manage the planned preventative maintenance schedule of all EY owned building services including, but not limited to, BMS & HVAC, electrical, fire, security, plant and machinery, as agreed by the Regional Workplace Manager.
·  Provide support to local teams as and where required as and SME or liaise with technical vendors in the support and issues resolution.
·  Monitor, manage and respond to hard services issues arising from business as usual. Use your knowledge to make qualified decisions regarding action to be taken to deliver cost effective solutions in a timely manner.
·  Manage and monitor all contractors engaged to perform works on site relating to the hard services portfolio.
·  Manage, monitor and maintain the national contractor registration system including ensuring all compliance requirements are met. This includes coordination with other EY offices as required.
·  Respond to out of hours emergency calls, including attending site when relevant and required.
·  Maintain the building to a safe standard by ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed, standards are met, legislation complied with, hazards identified and remedied in a timely manner.
·  Understand the information security requirements for information accessed or processed in carrying out the duties of the role, treating the information with appropriate care as set out in the Information Classification and Handling Policy. 
·  Ensure the EY Centre meets EY standard “look and feel” and are maintained to a high level
·  Consult with the Regional Workplace Manager for guidance on any complex issues and refer matters as appropriate.
·  Meet agreed formal performance standards to monitor and agreed service levels and to support the implementation of improvements.
·  Provide assistance to the WPS team when required.

 
Skills and attributes for success
·  Knowledge of building maintenance as well as experience in dealing with maintenance issues, displaying a ‘hands on approach’.
·  Demonstrate sufficient knowledge and understanding to source quotes, trades suppliers and trades people and to be able to supervise and evaluate their services.
·  Knowledge or exposure to Building Maintenance and contractor management systems.
·  A customer service focus and the ability to liaise with key stakeholders from all backgrounds and levels.
·  Excellent oral and written communications skills including the ability to communicate with employees and suppliers at all levels.
·  Efficient and organised, with the ability to make decisions and use initiative where required.
·  The ability to follow processes and procedures, including the ability to seek advice where appropriate.
·  A team player including flexibility and willingness to assist with peak workloads in the Workplace Services team on an ‘as-needs’ basis.
·  Sound working knowledge of Windows based software packages.

 
 
To qualify for the role you must have
·  Qualifications
·  Tertiary qualification in trade such as electrical, plumbing, engineering or carpentry.

 
·  Experience
·  Specialist knowledge and/or experience of a manual trade e.g. carpentry /HVAC/ electrical skills.
·  Previous exposure to performance management of suppliers via Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and/ or Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
