Job description
Workload Automation is a single point of control for planning, executing & monitoring disparate applications in a distributed and complex IT environment. With EY’s complex infrastructure, workload automation has been, and will continue to be, a critical service for scheduling a wide range of processes on a variety of systems across 3 global datacenters and beyond.
Workload Automation Team is a 24x7 support system. Members are responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting / escalating workload issues, creation / modifications and deployment of automated workloads in development, acceptance, and production environments. There are Eight Control M servers controlling over five thousand agents around the world, managing approximately 35K jobs daily.
What are you going to do?
· Ownership of the workload automation environments to included, but not be limited to: Proactive monitoring of automated processing and taking action on processing failures, various alerts and general work flows within the workload environment.
· Creating tickets, escalation and documentation of workload processing issues as directed by PSP, or specific instructions embedded in job definitions, mitigating any impact Service Level Agreements and Stakeholders.
· Managing the batches during planned activity windows involving application enhancements/deployments, disaster recover exercises, password updates, OS and DB patching and monthly reboots.
· Creating and decommissioning of schedules, following documentation and department protocols.
· Code / application migration and data fix script execution on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
· Creating and maintaining documentation for supported environments.
· The role requires the individual to operate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within their scope of the workload automation solution providing level 3 production support. This requires the individual to work closely with the sub-team lead for workload automation.
· Use of their Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in both Control M desktop and Enterprise Manager to provide fault tolerant schedules and alerting.
· Provide input to our clients in regard to changes to the workload processing when better practices are identified.
· Seeking various automation opportunities where ever possible, utilizing various EY supported tools .
· Reviewing Service and Incident tickets and working with support in managing batches in production and non-production environments.
· Work with application support teams to further escalate issues to management when system availability and Service Level Agreements are in jeopardy.
What do we need from you?
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in workload automation environment (operations and design)
· Proficient with Control-M Desktop and Enterprise Manager workload automation software- Version 9.0
· Intermediate knowledge on BIM, AFT, SAP, Self Service within Control-M and SFTP
· Basic knowledge to navigate through various OS systems and execute scripts (Windows, Unix, Linux, Oracle/ SQLPlus), and basic programming a plus.
· Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and manage the ticketing queue (i.e. Service Now or any other ticketing platform)
· Proficient with MS Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Visio, Sharepoint and Service Now

Shift: from Tuesday to Saturday from 4PM to 1AM
