Tax Accountant, International Tax Services, ITTS Standard (Senior)(Multiple Positions), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, New York, NY.

Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine tax liability for an organization. Work on teams to support clients’ cross-border transactions and assess their international tax strategies. Advise clients on long-range tax plans. Advise management about tax strategies and issues. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice. Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements. Required to obtain a CPA, JD or other alternate certifications based on approval from practice leadership within one year from hire date. Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services. 

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Tax, Law, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience in income taxation; OR a Master's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Tax, Law, or a related field, and 1 year of related work experience in income taxation. 

Must have 1 year of experience with a mid-size/regional to large sized/national public accounting firm or law firm performing tax compliance and consulting.

Must have 1 year of experience in 4 of the following: applying complex US and foreign tax concepts to client situations, performing tax compliance and consulting, inbound and outbound transaction consulting, multi-national corporation experience, Operating Model Effectiveness (OME), foreign tax credit planning, and effective tax rate minimization. 

Must have 1 year of experience international income taxation, including relevant experience with large cross border transactions involving multinational companies or private equity funds. 

Travel required approximately 50%, of which 10% is international.
