HR Advisor – Employee Relations and HR Projects focus
12 Month Maximum Term Contract

We’re looking for a motivated Human Resources professional on a 12 month maximum term basis to join our high-performing Talent Support Team based in Sydney. You’ll need to be genuinely interested in making a difference, and ready to think creatively, challenge the status quo and speak up to make it happen. In this role you will support a high-performance culture by working closely with the business in managing any performance issues including performance improvement plans, probation terminations, and other employee relations matters. You’ll also get involved in Talent projects – either in a project management capacity for smaller projects or as a work-stream lead for larger pieces of work. 

 
Your key responsibilities will include:
 
·  Acting as a first point of contact to people managers on employee relations matters
·  Balancing commercial requirements and legal risks in providing proactive support for and case management of:
·  Intra-team  disputes
·  Absenteeism
·  Employee ill health/mental health issues
·  Advising upon and reviewing performance improvement plans, and assisting Counsellors with probation management
·  Delivering project management support and managing work-streams for key macro people processes including but not limited to LEAD, Remuneration Review, Global People Survey and Pulse Survey
·  Participating in Asia Pacific and Global projects to ensure consistency and roll-out of macro Talent processes (as appropriate) in Oceania.
·  Displaying a deep technical understanding of all macro Talent processes and the Area and sub-Area interdependencies applicable to those processes, and being able to advise and guide the Core HR Team and HRBPs around those processes
·  Actively participating in projects to develop new processes and process improvements
·  Building and maintaining strong relationships with Talent Managers, HRBPs  Partners, People Leaders and Core HR Consultants

Success will be measured through client satisfaction, meeting key service level agreements, accuracy and timeliness of delivered work, and managing risk and providing sound advice when managing employee relations cases.

 
  Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Qualifications

Degree in Human Resources or other relevant discipline

Knowledge
·   Demonstrates good knowledge of employment legislation
·  Demonstrates ability to manage a number tasks according to business priority
·  Demonstrates strong stakeholder management skills given high volume of queries, projects and cases from a range of stakeholders
 
Experience

·  Minimum of two years relevant experience working in a similar Human Resource generalist or support role
·  Solid experience in performance management and employee relations
·  Knowledge of HRIS or like system (i.e. PeopleSoft) would be an advantage
·  Experience working through an organisation undertaking transformational change, would be an advantage
