Job description



We are looking for a Senior Associate located in a GDS center to help support the Global Total Reward function. The role will focus on coordinating global team activities, budgets, initiatives, projects, BAU programs, and network groups comprised of Region and Global Reward colleagues. Responsibilities include project management, communication, and change management activities across the function. Additionally, it is expected to support setting and executing the new Reward strategy for FY20 and beyond. Typical assignments might include project managing global reward programs, taking a lead role in coordinating logistics for virtual planning sessions or in person team meetings; providing analytical support on projects and initiatives to include generating customized reports; inventorying, drafting, tracking and preparing project status updates.

Working alongside other Reward colleagues, this position will take a very active/tactical role in potentially high profile projects requiring discretion, tact and extremely strong coordination and follow up skills. A well-suited will have prior functional change management experience and expertise including excellent stakeholder management and written communication skills. This role will work with stakeholders across the Global, Regional and GDS Talent ecosystem. The team is virtual, so there are currently no restrictions on where this role can be based. A keen interest and ideally previous experience in working inclusively, across different cultures is critical.

 Responsibilities

 

·  Support the Director and other functional leaders in the execution of the Global Total Reward strategy
·  Coordinate team activities including preparing agendas and minutes for regularly scheduled calls and periodic meetings.
·  Support annual budgeting process for the Global Total Reward function, including quarterly project to actual reconciliations and the year-end accrual process
·  Perform project management activities for global initiatives and programs, including compensation, benefits, recognition, and wellbeing activities, and work closely with the dedicated Reward Symphony project manager
·  Perform ad hoc analysis of compensation practices, trends, EY to benchmark comparisons, and other pay studies as required, in partnership with Global, Regional and GDS colleagues, leveraging available resources.
·  Coordinate cross border benchmark survey participation and related administration
·  Coordinate with Brand, Marketing & Communications (BMC) the preparation of the annual comms plan and the preparation of communication material including PowerPoint decks, multi-media, and SharePoint content 
·  Project manage the development of collateral and deliverables to support ongoing and annual compensation communication process with the goal of strengthening the alignment of performance and reward, telling a holistic story about the complete value of total reward at EY, and aligning reward practices to strategic business goals
·  Work closely with others Reward teams to ensure alignment and consistency in change materials across geographies, as appropriate and as defined in the strategy.
·  After a relatively brief time in role, make process improvement suggestions based on a solid understanding of reward principles (quickly applying learning)
·  Work with GDS and Reward to support centralized Reward activities
·  Other activities pending evolution of evolving strategy and plans

 

Knowledge/Skillsets/Experience

Demonstrated capability in change management

·   Ability to write/create deliverables (appropriate for all audiences, including senior leadership) in accordance with strategy; ability to collaborate with team on setting new strategies
·   Proven small group facilitation skills (virtual)
·   Ability to operate and flex in an ambiguous and changing environment to respond to emerging priorities
·  Experience of delivering as part of complex projects in a highly matrixed organization preferred
·  Experience analyzing data and generating moderately complex reports and tables in Excel
·  Demonstrated success in building strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders at various levels
·  Ability to work virtually, across multiple countries, Areas and cultures and to team effectively with clients and other team members
·  Confident in working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, considering all points of view before reaching a decision
·  Ability to operate and flex in an ambiguous and changing environment to respond to emerging priorities
·  Experience of working to tight deadlines, under pressure and delivering high quality outputs with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy, in accordance with plan
·  - Excellent English language skills (written and oral)
·  A degree of flexibility to work outside standard business hours to enable global virtual teamwork
·  Advanced MS office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
·  International travel may be required pending business needs
·  Prior experience in a Reward function is preferred but not required
