The opportunity

We are looking for individuals with experience transforming the sales function for B2B organisations either as a management consultant, or as part of an internal sales strategy and transformation team. It’s an exciting time to be joining our team as we are experiencing significant client demand for this capability, which means we need some new talent to help us grow even faster.

As a Senior Consultant, you will be a key part of the end-to-end delivery team on client engagements. You will be expected to shape and own client deliverables and be responsible for day to day operational relationships that contribute to the success of the engagement. You will have the opportunity to manage junior resource and be a key contributor to the success of the workstreams that you are a part of.

You will work on engagements that help clients improve and transform their Sales Organisations to accelerate profitable revenue growth. We expect you to have experience in some of the following areas:

· 
Designing and implementing sales strategies – this would involve segmenting customers, building new sales coverage models, designing value propositions and implementing new commercial models

· 
Designing and implementing new sales models – this would involve assessing existing operating models, recommending enhancements and building the organizational structure to support new models

· 
Designing and implementing new sales processes – this would involve developing new end to end sales processes covering pre and post-sale activities and making recommendations on how clients can better deploy technology to improve sales effectiveness

· 
Designing and implementing new approaches to talent management – this would involve thinking about the way sales teams are compensated and whether pay aligns to performance and helping clients to better train, manage and retain the talent in their organisation

· 
Designing and implementing sales enablement capabilities – this would involve helping our clients to think through how they better align sales and marketing activities so that teams are able to have more impactful conversations with their customers

At Senior Consultant level, you will not only be developing the recommendations that will ultimately be implemented by our clients, but you will also be a key contributor to the growth of EY Seren’s business, by helping develop new offers and thought leadership to take to market.

 
Your key responsibilities
· 
Take ownership for successful completion of client deliverables and supporting engagement leadership in developing long-term client relationships (6-12 months+).

· 
Use your experience, creativity and analytical skills to help find solutions to our clients’ problems.

· 
Bring the best of EY to our clients by showing professionalism, responsiveness, teaming effectively with your colleagues, building internal and external networks, and ensuring quality in all your work.

· 
Be vocal within the market to promote our brand and showcase our capabilities so that we that we continue to grow the business. 

Skills and attributes for success

· 
Have worked in a B2B sales strategy or operations role, either in consulting or industry

· 
Track record of building operational relationships with stakeholders in organisations and working alongside client teams on a day to day basis

· 
Ability and willingness to tackle difficult and open-ended client problems

· 
Experience of putting in place and adhering to the right project structure and governance to ensure client outcomes are achieved successfully

· 
Experience of coaching and managing junior resources to support with the production of client deliverables

· 
Ability to manage upwards to support engagement leadership teams in the setting of client expectations and development of account strategy

· 
Familiarity with sales technologies including sales planning and territory management tools, CRM, digital selling platforms e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator and sales enablement tools

  To qualify for the role, you must have
·  Experience in external or internal consulting
· 
An appreciation of the role segmentation plays in shaping sales strategies

· 
An understanding of the role profiles within a sales organisation and the skills that are required to successfully execute different sales activities

· 
A recognition of how organisations structure their thinking around the allocation of sales resources to accounts, to drive differential performance

· 
Basic understanding of the sales technology landscape and how different solutions (CRM, Sales Navigator etc.) are deployed within the sales organisation

· 
Been involved in the development of 2 - 4 client deliverables as part of Sales Transformation, Sales Excellence or Sales Effectiveness projects
