Job purpose
 
As an organization jointly owned by the business and IT, the Mercury Solution Support Center (MSSC) is a centralized and global organization that will provide operational support for an integrated, SAP-centric platform (Mercury) and manage and support the Mercury user community. The MSSC will play an integral governance role in the global Mercury solution and will evolve to work closely with the business to enable the benefit and value to be realized from the investment in Mercury and to set the future direction and technology road map.
Service Excellence is one of the four core functions of the MSSC. The Service Excellence function will ensure the Mercury user community receives the effective support, guidance and knowledge they need and enable them to:
·  become increasingly self-sufficient in their use of the solution
·  execute business processes accurately and efficiently
·  join a network of excellence that will drive the adoption and standardized usage of the Mercury solution
·  request, use, manage and maintain master data effectively and efficiently on a global basis
·  identify opportunities for improvement and input to user acceptance testing cycles.
Essential Functions of the Job:
·  Maintain master data for specific domains within the Mercury SAP system
·  Ensure data is aligned to defined solution and EY data standards
·  Performs data analysis and quality checks on assigned data domain
·  Participates in and supports the Data Steward in periodic audits and reviews of data quality
·  Assist the Data Stewards through ad-hoc analysis by writing queries that will extract information from the data warehouse.
·  Analyze data and create reports in a presentable format:
·  Retrieve appropriate data with analytics tool
·  Compile output either from the data warehouse (EDW) or the analytics tool
·  Develop reports on Excel Write analysis (i.e. observations, insights, recommendations) based on compiled data
·  Produce weekly, bi-weekly and monthly Excel reports for management
·  Ensure that data management methodologies include the steps, activities and deliverables required to consistently achieve high-quality secure data
·  Gather data for analysis purposes using complex data mining instructions and scenarios.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
·  Participate in audits to benchmark the state of data quality, retention, security etc., and its impact on desired business outcomes.
·  Participate in and provide data for the creation of data quality scorecard or dashboard.
·  Actively participate in the design and deployment of applications and data integration processes to ensure standards and controls, to ensure high-quality data is implemented in adherence with data governance policies.  

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
·  Experience analyzing data
·  Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques
·  Knowledge of data capture, update, usage and other core business processes that influence data life-cycle
·  At least two years, in a supporting role of data or information management involving data analysis, data stewardship, metadata management, data governance and/or master data management in a large business setting.
·  Past experience that demonstrates the ability to work with multiple business lines to drive governance and stewardship within a global organization.
·  Working experience in change management, configuration management, would be a plus.
·  Experience with major querying tools and knowledge of database concepts preferred.
