The Opportunity

We’ve been strengthening our design and delivery teams to broaden the scope of learning as well as the rate in which we produce critical courses to key audiences within our organization.  As a Researcher, you’ll provide support to a portfolio of simple to moderate Learning projects and programs, where industry and scientific research-based knowledge is required to develop solutions and solve business problems. Your Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll collaborate with colleagues to obtain and synthesize internal research as well as secondary research to support course design. You’ll act as a project manager including gathering best practices and creating cases for stakeholder or learner buy-in. You’ll act as a driver for complex research projects including the responsibility of conducting research, synthesizing findings, creating deliverables and managing client expectations of the outcomes of the deliverables.You’ll build and maintain a research database of resources searchable to users. You’ll also vet course materials and create compelling research-based presentations and summaries of research for both Learning professionals and course participants. You may provide coaching, development and direction to other more junior team members including, daily supervision, setting priorities, delegating task and providing ongoingfeedback [HLB1]  .

 

Skills & Attributes for Success

To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience in conducting research using secondary sources as well as knowledge of scientific best practices. A deep understanding of project management practices and tools will give you the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities. You’ll have strong presentation skills as well as the ability to assert your own idea and influence others to gain support and commitment for shared projects. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently as well as part of a virtual team with minimal guidance.

To qualify for this role, you must have

·  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
·  3-5 years of progressive work experience
·  Strong analytical skills to grasp complexities and perceive relationships among problems and issues
·  The capacity to flex working hours to accommodate business needs across multiple time zones
·  Industry and scientific research-based knowledge

Ideally you will also have:

·  Experience in developing other less experienced team members
·  Experience within the professional services industry or a large matrix environment
