In order to reinforce our Quality Assurance Department within EY Belgium, we are in search for a talented Audit Quality Professional with a unique set of skills.

Tasks & responsibilities

As an Audit Quality Professional, you will be part of the team reporting directly to the Professional Practice Team. Your responsibilities will be the following:

• Dedicate a substantial part of your workload on executing quality reviews on/with our audit engagement teams in order to monitor compliance with both ISA and internal methodologies.
• Monitoring of compliance of the overall Assurance practice with the (new) European requirements impacting the audit profession.
• Assist the team to prepare and develop effective programs for our teams in preparing for internal and external inspection activities.
• Identify, based on internal and external inspection findings, areas of improvement and proposing focused training sessions for teams in scope.
• Assist the team in coordinating our responses to internal and external oversight bodies;
• Monitor a ‘Quality Assurance’ KPI reporting set that is used for internal quality monitoring.

Profile

• You obtained a Master Degree in Applied Economics, Economic Sciences, Business Administration, Management Sciences, Commercial Engineer or Law with a general experience in finance or a similar background.
• You have at least 2 to 5 years of experience in an audit environment (as an auditor or a consultant) or comparable experiences.
• You have a detailed and practical knowledge of International Standards of Auditing (ISA’s);
• You have a proven track record in project management and realization of deadlines.
• You are pragmatic, creative and solution minded, with a logical mindset and analytical skills.
• You have the ability to perform effective research and convey complex topics in a clear, comprehensible manner to a broad audience.
• You are a team player and have excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
• You’re fluent in Dutch or English or French.
