Job description



The Opportunity:

To support Sector Leaders, Client Service Partners and Account Sales Executives in driving revenues on designated Banking and Capital Markets accounts and / or industry Sector through facilitating and driving account management, planning and / or Sector market support.

Your Key Responsibilities:
 
Account Management:
·  Coordinate, assist in preparation and actively participate in Account Team meetings with particular emphasis on account planning meetings. Facilitate meetings as appropriate
·  In conjunction with the Client Service Partner and Sales Executive, own the Account Plan and other planning materials, and ensuring they are regularly reviewed against established milestones and targets
·  Maintain and communicate a list of significant tasks resulting from Account Team meetings and ensure follow up on all actions
·  Act as the central point of contact for Account Team worldwide, play an instrumental role in coordination of global EY account team. Maintain relationships with extended account team, including other service lines and major global locations
·  Build strong internal network across service lines and support functions
·  Ensure that agreed quality assurance and client satisfaction procedures are fully implemented and monitored
·  Onboard new team members and train them on account management systems and tools as appropriate
·  Understands clients' strategy, issues, culture, challenges considering the impact on account management

Client Relationship Activities:
·  Understands key client relationships including their strength and quality, the background of key individuals and frequency of interaction
·  Maintain and update client relationship plan
·  Review Thought Leadership mailings, EY events and corporate entertainment opportunities determining clients for receiving mailshots and invitations
·  Maintain and coordinate an events diary for the account
·  Overall maintenance of Interaction (client contact information) for the account
·  Develop the ASQ (Assessment of Service Quality) annual plan in conjunction with the account team and arrange the set-up of the planned ASQ interviews
 
Account Independence Protocols:
·  Demonstrate risk-awareness in day to day activities
·  Ensure account independence protocols are fully adhered to

Sales & Reporting:
·  Own the management of the sales pipeline for your account including:
·  Capture all pursuits / sales information from pursuit leaders
·  Monitor and update all pursuits, sales and losses information from pursuit leaders
·  Maintain and distribute regular reporting of sales pipeline information to the account team
·  Produce and submit the monthly account reconciliation report to Sector leadership, comparing and analysing sales pipeline data against actual finance revenue reporting
·  Identify and investigate any sales pipeline or finance revenue errors or anomalies, escalating issues for resolution
·  Ensure Sales and Engagements standards are adhered
·  Support and produce any responses to RFP's, proposals or submissions to client
  Communication:
·  Work with Account Team to establish communication protocols and facilitate team communication through effective use of communication media including account team meetings, conference calls, presentations etc.
·  Assist in preparation of agendas and materials for client meetings
·  Ensure practice and sales professionals prepare client meeting summaries
·  Maintain team calendar and document repository in account management system
·  Provide account information as appropriate
·  Communicate team accomplishments to the Firm as appropriate
·  Prepare and coordinate account communications

Research and Knowledge Management:
·  Work with Account and Knowledge Teams to establish requirements and protocols and develop and implement a knowledge plan for the Account Team
·  Collect/disseminate relevant account knowledge to team regarding the target/client, its issues, industry and competitors
·  Supply Account Team with annual reports, organisational charts, regular newsletters, monthly review of news articles (from Factiva, One Source etc.)
·  Identify service lines, industry sectors that are not represented on the Account Team that could benefit the client
·  Support sales pursuits by producing marketing collateral, credentials, research, business analysis and competitive intelligence

Sector Support Activities:
·  Dependent on Sector need, some or none of the following activities may be undertaken:
·  Sector Financial and Operational budget setting
·  Analysis and tracking of Sector marketing budget and related spend
·  Tracking and production of MI (incl. HePro & Overheads)
·  Management of Sector Sales Pipeline
·  Tracking of Sector sales campaigns
·  Ensuring Sales and Engagements standard are adhered to
·  Retain planning
·  WIP & ERP reporting
·  Maintenance or the Sector Knowledge Database
·  Coordination of Away days, Client Events
·  Ad hoc Sector projects
Skills and Attributes for Success:
·  Strong computer skills including basic business software (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel), Lotus Notes and Internet.
·  Ability to quickly and easily create/ gather/ manipulate/ analyse data from a variety of sources
·  Demonstrable ability to facilitate the identification and shaping of opportunities across Service Lines
To Qualify for the role you must have:
·  A strong academic background, ideally a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
·  Related work experience, ideally, in financial or professional services organisation 
Ideally, you’ll also have:
·  Banking and Capital markets experience
·  Project Management and administrative experience
