1 RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical service and support to new and existing customer networks, telecom and datacom.
Plan, design, troubleshoot and resolve problems in order to stabilize and optimize customer networks. Analyses isolate and solve complex fault issues as well as contribute to corrective actions.
Configure and integrate different nodes and solutions in new and live customer networks.
All activities performed should (normally) be in accordance to customer contract. Interact with customer technical staff and operation managers, service engineers and other groups, within Service Delivery organization. Also interact with groups in sales, R&D, 3rd Party suppliers and local authorities

2. AUTHORITY
To collect, check and execute all necessary network information to achieve the assigned tasks.

3. MAIN TASKS
Verifies and implements procedural improvements and changes (down to the level of work instructions) and provides input on structural improvements in processes/work instructions. This is done within the responsibilities of the organizational unit (and adjacent interfacing areas) with the goal to ensure changes are embedded in the daily way of working
Monitoring of the services, by executing daily routines within office hours on the end-to-end services, networks and network components by using generic and customer specific systems, tools and processes.
Acts as a central point of contact in event handling within the boundaries of the network fulfillment services to achieve efficient and effective execution of Network Fulfillment activities.
Has direct contact with 3rd parties (mostly network vendors) to ensure problems/adaptations are solved within set time frames.

4. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB
Knowledge / awareness of the following BSS/OSS Products (not all of them are mandatory):
• SAP Mobile Secure (Afaria, Mocana & Mobile Docs)
• Oracle BRM
• BMC Remedy
• Orcacle PL/SQL
• Advanced scripting knowledge (Perl/Shell)
Administration
• Red Hat / Linux (Certified, preferred)
• Data Base Administration
• Solid knowledge about SNMP v1, v2
• Sun Certified System Administrator (or equivalent knowledge including Sun Clusters)
Value added
• Knowledge of Direct Attached Storage Solutions
• ITIL Foundations
• Basic networking knowledge
• Service network layer functionality (Circuit Switching, Packet Switching)
• Resource layer (Access network, Core network control, Core network transport, Service network)

5. QALIFICATION
Academic degree, minimum on bachelor level, in engineering (IT, telecom) OR 1-2 years academic studies combined with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
Team player and willing to share knowledge
Multi tasking capabilities
Structured and organized way of working
Excellent communication skills in English
Proven knowledge of analytical troubleshooting
Flexible attitude
