Position Summary

The Digital Design Unit is one of several Units responsible for the development of new Radio HW products which are part of Ericsson's base station for GSM, WCDMA, LTE, 5G and future standards. The main responsibility for the Digital Design Unit is HW implementation of the Digital parts of Radio using state of the art Technology. You will be an important member of the cross functional design Team working with systemization, design, integration and verification of the new products. Our design Unit is responsible for the global HW platforms and have close cooperation and collaboration with our design sites.

Our transceiver boards consist of both analogue and digital parts. The digital design on these boards is based on ASICs, FPGAs and complex PCBs with high-speed SERDES links with very high requirements on crosstalk, jitter and loss. This combined with our ambition to be the No1 in the market regarding performance, size, power efficiency and quality makes the role as digital hardware designer in our unit both challenging and stimulating.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

·  Digital design (schematic, layout and simulation);
·  Design verification in our lab environment;
·  Responsible for the design all the way from concept to released product;
·  Take part of systemization;
·  Drive continuous improvements of products and processes.

Desired profile

Position Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

·  Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education;
·  A minimum of 3 years of experience in Digital HW design and verification of complex mixed signal boards, including high speed Digital design and measurements;
·  Fluent in English in conversation and writing.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

·  Experience with Cadence Concept and Allegro tools;
·  Extensive experience using Lab equipments such as logic analyzers, pattern generators, oscilloscope, etc.;
· 
Knowledge of signal/power integrity, EMC theory, containment strategies and techniques;

· 
Experience of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity simulations;

· 
Experience with programmable logic design and tools;

·  Good communication skills and social ability;
·  You are a Team-player with a natural ability to work with different Teams across a Global Organization;
·  You have a positive attitude combined with a strong drive;
·  You embrace change and always are up for a new challenge;
·  You appreciate to contribute to a creative and innovative environment.
