Position Summary:

Purpose of the Job Role

·  Convert analytics strategy into architecture guidelines
·  In conjunction with Data Scientists, create analytic solutions in line with Stakeholder needs.
·  Design, develop, and deliver analytics solutions
·  Provide operations support for Analytics solutions.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

·  Develop and test solution components
·  Solution maintenance & support

Position Qualifications:

Experience:

3 to 5 years of experience in developing Big data and business intelligence solutions. At least 1- 2 years of relevant experience developing solutions in Hadoop Environment.

Responsibilities:

·  Focus on optimization and operations research with an ability to support data driven decisions.
·  Hands on experience in executing data analysis, plus for experience using SQL, Hive, R, and/or Python
·  Ability to understand complex business and data systems
·  Ability to clearly communicate complex results to technical and non-technical audiences
·  Versatility and willingness to learn new technologies on the job

Technical Skills

·  Minimum of 1- 2 years’ full time work experience on HADOOP projects
·  Preferred experience on MapR Distribution.
·  Strong skills in one of the programming languages (python or Scala)
·  Strong back ground and understanding of Hadoop platform.
·  Good in RDBMS and writing T-SQL
·  Should have worked in any of the ETL tools (Pentaho, Talend) etc.
·  Experience implementing Hbase models
·  Complete understanding and should have established security in hbase Models.
·  Hands on experience in data loading like Sqoop, Flume etc.
·  Hands on experience in HiveQL, Drill , Impala and OOzie work flows.
·  Knowledge on streaming tools (Kafka, Spark) would be preferred.
·  Should have Knowledge on handling semi-structured and Un-structured data.
·  Experience in (Casandra, MongoDB , Hbase) would be preferred.
·  Strong understanding of data warehouse technologies/architectures/best practices and allied concepts such as master data management, enterprise performance management, etc.
·  Strong experience on understanding customer requirements,
·  Arranging workshops for requirements and functional specification creation.
·  Working knowledge of multiple DW/BI technologies/platforms with capability to make technology recommendations
·  Ability to abstract and identify re-usable components within and outside the client engagements
·  Exposure to hardware sizing, volumetric analysis and capacity planning
·  Exposure to effort estimation
·  Ability to communicate effectively with business to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
·  Ability to manage customer expectations effectively.
·  Should be able to work in a group of highly experienced architects
·  Experience in handling IT Service Provider Vendors and team effectively.

Communication & Leadership Skills:

·  Excellent oral, written and client presentation skills
·  Experience in facilitation of assessment workshops and meetings.
·  Ability to deliver informative, well-organized presentations.
·  Ability to serve in leadership roles, consulting role and communicate with development teams
·  Ability to facilitate effective team interaction
·  Should be flexible for travel (outside India)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·  An appropriate degree in computer science or related disciplines; and/or relevant industry experience in analytics solution design and development activity.
