PURCHASING / PROJECT MANAGER (JAPAN & PACIFIC AREA) (H/F)

Equator’s business scope:
Equator is a company specialized in Sport Events and Sport Travel.
We offer a full range of services including accommodation, flights, chauffeured cars, event design and coordination, to international CLIENTS, composed of Sport Professionals (Motorsport teams, Clubs, Federation and organisers, Sponsors, Medias).

Missions:
- Fully Responsible of our local activities in Japan: Motorsport Events (F1 and others), Rugby World Cup 2019, Olympic Games 2020.
- Relations with our Japanese suppliers (hotels and various suppliers for chauffeured vehicles, hospitality providers) for the Sports events in Japan (Motorsport Event in Suzuka, Motegi, Fuji … / Rugby Worldcup / Olympic Games …)
- Negotiations and purchasing with the local suppliers (mostly Japanese hotels and local transportation companies)
- Organisation, coordination and operations during Sport Events
- Management of Japanese coordinators during events
- Development and support of our activities in Asian and Pacific destinations (Thailand, Korea , China…)
- Relations with the head office in France
- Other various missions for the company
Languages:
- Business level in Japanese (bilingual: reading and writing)
- Good level of English
Profile:
- Self-motivated, self-driven, ability to take challenges
- Creative, curious and pro-active
- Good communications skills
- Knowledge of Japanese culture
- Autonomous/ Initiative spirit
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in hotels booking would be an asset.
- Experience in purchasing would be an asset
This mission will most likely be extended to a local contract after 24 months
