ENGIE are recruiting for two Staff and Visitor Catering Assistants to be based at the Pinderfields Hospital, Aberford Rd, Wakefield, WF1 4DG. This is a fixed-term contract lasting 3 months, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week,  5 days out of 7 to include some evenings and weekends On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

The Catering Assistant will provide a quality, front of house service, whilst being courteous and caring to patients, visitors and all users. Providing a safe, hygienic, nutritious and timely food service for staff and visitors.

Main Responsibilities :

· 
The hygienic handling of food products in accordance with food hygiene legislation and the Trust/Company Food Safety Policy (HACCP).

· 
Serving staff meals in an appetising and attractive manner that complies with the Company’s portion control guidance

· 
To assist in the preparation of basic food and simple cooking as required

· 
To be involved in the general cleaning following the appropriate cleaning schedules including general cleaning duties including stacking dishwasher, use of electrical floor scrubber, damp dusting service areas and cleaning of all catering equipment.

· 
Ensure stock is dated and stock rotation procedures are observed.

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

·  Level 2 Food safety, customer service (desirable)
·  Experience working in a similar environment.
·  DBS Enhanced
