ENGIE are recruiting for a Product Owner to be based at  Engie Riverbridge House, Dartford, DA2 6SL. This is a 12 months Fixed Term Contract role full-time role working 37.5 h ours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

General Overview:

The Product Owner will be responsible for effectively conveying the wants and needs of the clients and the business directly to the development teams. The Product Owner will be responsible for product requirements, engaging with teams to understand market and system needs, and ultimately delivering quality software to help the company generate revenue and/or reduce costs. The Product Owner will lead the product roadmap initiatives through the software development cycle, including design, development, testing, documentation, release and training. 

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Conveys the vision of the products we are building to the scrum team through their ownership of the product backlog.
·  Uses epics, features, product vision and market needs to refine user stories and requirements into clear, workable product requirements
·  Leads team in analysing business needs and technology choices
·  Prioritizes backlog to support product roadmap, and according to business value
·  Participates in daily scrum meetings, and supports development team's ongoing questions, concerns, and feedback

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

·  Ability to travel to the United States at least 50% of the time
·  Bachelor's degree in science or business, or equivalent
·  Experience in SCRUM Agile methodology (essential)
·  2-5 years in software development and/or technology management / analysis
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·  Experience in data management (desirable)
·  Pragmatic Marketing training (desirable)
·  Scrum training preferred (desirable)
·  Knowledge: Energy markets, energy procurement, energy supply contract structures, utilities (desirable)
