Tractebel’s Nuclear Entity seeks for its “Safety and Modelling Expertise” competence centre a (m/f) :
 

 

Medior Thermalhydraulic Engineer

 

Within the ‘Safety & Modelling Expertise’, competence centre, the Thermalhydraulic Group is in charge of the following disciplines:
·  Licensing Studies (SGTR, FWLB,…);
·  PWR Plant Operation Support;
·  Computational Fluid Dynamics;
·  Analysis of plant behaviour (e.g. Natural Circulation, …).
 
 
Your function
 
 

• In charge of performing Thermalhydraulic Licensing Studies;
• Perform complex thermal hydraulic engineering analysis in the domain of nuclear reactor systems using industry-standard methods and simulation tools (e.g. RELAP5/TRACE);
• Defend your work to the Belgian Safety Authorities;
• Write technical reports about the studies performed;
• Work in a team of about 15 engineers, in close interaction with your colleagues.

• Master in Engineering or a Master in Physics;
• A background in analysing Design Base Accidents (Class III and Class IV)
• Being familiar with international codes and standards;
• Knowledge of the Belgian Nuclear Power Plants;
• Able to communicate (write/speak) in English and French or Dutch;
• Interested to become a high-level expert in this topic
