ENGIE are recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to be based at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. This is a 6 months, temporary full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview

The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the mechanical team and sub-contractors on site, ensuring they are performing and delivering all works to time, budget and specification.

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

· 
Supervise the Assistants/Technicians/Engineers including management of sickness, absence and holidays and involvement in appraisals, performance management and disciplinary issues.

· 
Ensure full compliance with relevant policies and procedures, codes of practice, statutory requirements and ensure professional standards are maintained

· 
Act as Technical Adviser to the Maintenance Team including the development and maintenance of contingency plans;

· 
Ensure risk assessments and method statements are in place as deemed necessary and staff have access to and wear correct PPM

· 
Ensure CAFM System is up to date at all times and ensure all reactive and PPM tasks are completed within project agreements.

· 
Carry out the day to day subcontractor management ensuring successful delivery of services into the contract, in a cost effective and timely manner

· 
Carry out regular audits across all services to ensure services are being maintained to agreed standards and performance, including ISO & OHSAS standards

· 
Ensure all Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and re-active tasks are completed

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

·  DBS/DS Standard
·  ONC/HNC or recognised apprenticeship in an Engineering Subject (or equivalent in specialist trade)
·  IOSH Managing safely
·  Experience in Supervisory Management / Team Leading
·  Full UK Driving Licence
·  NHS experience is desirable
·  Experience of undertaking AP/RP duties within similar FM projects
·  Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry guidelines
