ENGIE are recruiting for a Management Accountant to be based at 26 Whitehall Road, Leeds, LS12 1BE. This is a permanent full-time role working 37 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview 

The role of the Management Accountant is to support effective business partnering to the Divisional Managing and Operations Directors, and their Management Teams. 

Key Accountabilities: 

· 
To support a Business Partnering Service to all major Stakeholders via clear and concise, regular and ad-hoc analysis.

· 
To provide financial analysis for commercial decisions taken by the Management teams and to validate the income and cost streams of the business.

· 
Contribution to the monthly financial performance of the Supply and Export Businesses in coordination with Central Finance including variance analysis to budgets and forecasts, incorporating order book / energy / friction / debtor analysis, and customer profitability.

· 
To support balance sheet management and minimise exposure on these items, including TPIs and debtors.

· 
Support the business in meeting statutory and regulatory reporting.

· 
To support improved Management Information and Data Ownership/Integrity. Continually deliver improved processes and improve the quality of management reporting.

· 
To manage invoice validation processes across various cost types.

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

Knowledge and skills: 

·  Able to demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving.
·  Able to identify and deliver process improvements.
·  Able to document processes, identify relevant controls and performance indicators.
·  Able to report complex financial performance to a wide ranging audience.
·  Good knowledge of the electricity and gas industries.

Experience: 

·  Demonstrated ability to apply professional techniques in a commercial environment.
·  Demonstrated ability to succeed in a complex and dynamic environment.
·  Practical experience of accounting, financial accounts or experience in other departments with similar finance disciplines.

Qualifications: 

·  Degree level or equivalent
·  Qualified accountant (preferred) or part qualified accountant
