Global Energy Management (GEM)  is one of ENGIE’s 24 Business Units. At the heart of the energy value chain, GEM optimizes the Group’s assets portfolio including electricity, natural gas, environmental products and bulk commodities such as biomass, while developing its external commercial franchise worldwide. We provide services in supply and logistics management, asset management by leveraging on markets, risk management, market access management, and contribute to market understanding, design and efficiency.
With a staff of 1,400, offices in 11 countries and 4 trading platforms, GEM has an extended geographical coverage in Europe and Asia-Pacific and activities in more than 50 countries.

Your mission

The trainee will work in the Legal Contract Lab team,in charge of drafting and negotiationg many types of contract related to financial& physical deliveries of energy commodities, transportation & storage capacities, the off-take of natural gas from gas fields over long term period....
The team also manages from the time to time corporate law matters. 

The trainee will notably assist the in-house counsels in :
·  preparing some tenders related to storage capacities and/or purchase of natural gas or power
·  taking care of the application for license for the pruchase and sale of energy commodities in different European countries (in collaboration with external law firms)
·  negotiating different types of contrat (such as service level agreements, brokerage agreements, non disclosure agreement)
·  dealing with some corporate law matters(such as power at attorney...)
As a trainee, you will be guided and supervised by our team of in-house counsels and participate in a wide variety of matters.
You will have a chance to work cosely with Front-Office, Back-Office and different departments such as Operations, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering

·  master law degree in international business law
·  double degrees such as LLM or business schools is an advantage
·  previous experience in a leading law firm, or in-house in multinational company (ideally in the energy sector) is also an advantage
·  fluency in English and French, German would be appreciate

You are well organized, dynamic, rigorous and polyvalent.

6 months internship located at La Défense.
