Job description

Mission of the Department
The Corporate Finance Department based In Paris, Brussels and London is part of the Direction Corporate Finance, Treasury & Insurance ("DCFTA") of GDF SUEZ, whose activities are globalized at (Group level). It works closely with all other Departments of DCFTA and the following corporate departments: AIFA, Controlling, Accounting and Consolidation, Legal and Tax.
The responsibilities of the Department are to :
- Manage the Group's corporate financing and its credit ratings,
- Manage the Group's relationship with financial Institutions,
- Manage the Group's financial vehicles and central entities,
- Manage the Structuring and implementation of the financing and the shareholding of subsidiaries and investments,
- Manage the issuance of guarantees,
The Corporate Finance Department is in regular contact with Business Units, subsidiaries, external advisers and the Banking community.
Mission of Junior Financial Advisor
- The Junior Financial Advisor will assist the Financial Advisor in his work.
- He/She will help to identify the corporate finance related issues and collect the information needed to conduct the analysis.
- He/She will help to ensure the follow-up and the implementation of the solutions (loans, dividends, equity, cash pooling, etc)
- He /She will be involved
oIn providing assistance to operational companies on the management of all finance related matters (project finance follow up, equity bridge loans, shareholder loans, working capital facilities, dividend payments, trading credit support etc...),
oIn advising on the financial structuring of M&A transactions,
oIn analyzing, monitoring and optimizing the cash management of subsidiaries (cash centralization, reduction of trapped cash, cash pooling solutions),
oIn structuring the upstreaming of cash from Business Units, subsidiaries and investments (dividend payments, loans etc..),
oIn identifying financial risks,
Profil professionnel recherché ( formation, langues étrangères, compétences ou expériences professionnelles souhaitées…)
- A university degree In Finance, Economics, or a numerate discipline, and/or an MBA or relevant professional qualification (e.g. Qualified Accountant, CFA).
- Finance relevant experience, preferably In Corporate Finance, Project Finance, Structured Finance or Treasury Management, either within GDF SUEZ Group or in a major bank or International corporation.
- International exposure.
- A good understanding of financial products, banking systems and capital markets.
- Fluent in English.
- Any additional European language is a valuable asset
- A flexible team player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
