Keepmoat Regeneration are recruiting for Gas Installers to be based at Watford, WD24 7GP. This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00. On offer is a competitive salary, and benefits package.

Purpose of the Role:

Service, maintain and Install Heating Systems to Domestic and Communal Dwellings.

Key Responsibilities:


·  Carry out both gas plumbing and wet plumbing tasks on Domestic Heating Systems within residential dwellings and communal areas where required, also inspect distribution Gas, Heating and water pipework serving the dwellings.  
·  Service and maintain resident’s gas network and appliances at per Manufactures Instructions and complaint with up to date legislation and regulations, by completing a full inspection of all components installed at each residential or void dwelling.
·  Ensure Controls and heating systems are left working efficiently and correctly in a manner to reduce future breakdowns and failures of the heating systems in its entirety.  Where this is not possible to report back the findings from the dwelling and ensure that the follow on works are scheduled to be fitted within a reasonable time frame agreed with your line manager and the resident. 
·  Obsolete Parts are to be identified and reported to your Line Manager and a full survey undertaken guidance of the Line Manager and Photographic updates to be loaded to the PDA to ensure that the resident’s time without a heat or hot water provision are minimised.  Temporary Heaters must be left as per the contractual requirements.
·  Where the PDA is not operable Revert to the use of paper documentation and ensure that it is compliant to the Keepmoat and also Gas Safe standards
·  Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:
·  Compliance with specification to current standards
·  Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules
·  Risk and Method Statements completed for each dwellings and task attended
·  Full completion of all gas certification and bench marking
·  Maintain and care for all company tools
·  To use appropriate safety equipment
·  To wear appropriate clothing / uniform /PPE 
·  To ensure areas of work are left clean and tidy at the end of the day or following each task at each dwelling
·  To be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy
·  To be responsible for holding keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards and allow access where appropriate
·  Material co-ordination
·  Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site based documentation
·  Any other reasonable management request
·  Carry out works as directed by the Line Manager/s to agreed quality standards
·  Assist tradesman as directed in carrying out their day to day duties
·  Advise Line Manager/s or SHEQ Advisor of any Health & Safety infringements they might see and record all near misses and accidents through the company policy and procedures
·  Ensuring that the site is kept clean and tidy at all times following the correct procedures for each task
·  Load and unload deliveries as required to carry out tasks using correct method statements for lifting equipment 
·  Undertake all work to a high standard with minimal risk to Health and Safety
·  To work with others and provide a courteous and considerate service to members of the public
·  Any other reasonable management request
·  Ensure company appearance in maintained to High Standards (Uniform, Vehicles and Working Areas)
·  Work on an Out of Hours Rota and or shift pattern Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays

What we are looking for:

Essential

·  Extensive Served Gas Engineer relevant to the position or a Service Maintenance Engineer or an Installing Gas Engineer.
·  Previous trades experience.
·  Understanding of local government.
·  National Accreditation for relevant Gas Works.

Desirable

·  Recognised qualification for the trade Gas Safe Registration. 
·  Recognised Health & Safety qualification. 
·  Current and Valid Full & Clean UK driving licence.
