Job description



We are currently looking for a Fleet Operator Onshore to strengthen our team within the ENGIE Renewable Energies (RES) Belux department.

Your mission

·  you are responsible for the daily tracking of the operation of the complete onshore wind turbine fleet from the ENGIE headquarters (Brussels), using the tools provided (Scada-systems)
·  you are the first contact point with the external teams who work on the wind turbines
·  you provide the contacts with the technicians who travel to the site and check the safety aspects before the start of the works and the notification at the end of the works
·  you are the key point of contact for the technicians in the event of defects and abnormal situations and tracking the interventions
·  you carry out the first-line analysis of the defects on the wind turbines, their auxiliary systems and the communication tools necessary for this (modem, firewall, industrial PC,…) and manage internal and external partners
·  you start/stop wind turbines remotely in contact with all the parties involved in the event of defects, ice shutdowns, grid faults and others
·  you lead the daily dispatch meetings with the other team members
·  you inform the zone responsible personnel (cluster managers) if further actions are necessary
·  you work dayshift (5-day week) during the normal office hours with a shifted weekly schedule
·  during "dispatch-free" days you investigate operational anomalies in cooperation with the other team members
·  you work together with colleagues to perform sporadic technical inspections on the wind turbines
·  you assist in the functional tests of new installations

Your profile

·  you are technically trained in the field of electromechanics and have an affinity with data communication
·  experience in operating industrial installations and knowledge of Scada-systems is an asset
·  you have a critical approach, like to learn and are curious
·  you are communicative and customer-friendly
·  you are not afraid of heights and are in good physical condition
·  you have an eye for detail and are constantly looking for improvement
·  you are prepared to take part in on-call duty (evening and weekend) after the training period
·  you have a good knowledge of French, English and Dutch

The O&M team operates and maintains the onshore wind turbine farms of ENGIE Electrabel and its partners in the BeLux. Specifically, this means that we track the daily operation of the wind turbine fleet and strive to maximise the availability and production of the wind turbines.
