Fire Alarm Technician LC

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and qualified Fire Alarm Technician interested in working on our Light Commercial sites in and around Hallam, Victoria.

You will be part of a team that is responsible for the install and maintain fire protection systems and equipment according to the relevant Australian Standards whilst exceeding customer service expectations at every available opportunity.

Main Activities:

·  Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment in accordance with ENGIE Services procedures and processes
·  Commissioning of Fire Systems to AS1670 & BCA requirements – completing the relevant commissioning test reports
·  Complete ‘as installed drawings' to approved quality & standard
·  Install fire protection and safety systems and equipment
·  Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on fire protection systems and equipment using log books and associated documents in an accurate manner
To be successful in this role you MUST have:

·  Trade qualification and a minimum of five years field experience preferably within the fire industry
·  Previous experience in driving process compliance
·  High standard of written and oral communication skills
·  Analytical skills in reviewing activities and identifying key actions to deliver continuous improvement
·  Current Driver's Licence
·  Up to date product and industry knowledge, and an understanding of where to locate the relevant information
·  A solid knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment
Candidates will need to undergo Pre-Employment Medical and Police Check check prior to commencement.
