The environment

The Energy Transition Department of Tractebel Engineering delivers high level worldwide consulting on energy transition and is the excellence center of the ENGIE Group for all related topics.
The Digital for Energy teams of Tractebel design, develop, maintain and commercialize software solution related to the energy sector. More particularly, the Digital Energy Expertise team has developed in-house competences in optimization, simulation and data science.
To reinforce our team in Brussels, we are recruiting a talented data scientist.

 
Your function

·  You are part of a multi-disciplinary team maintaining, supporting and designing functionalities for existing and new software written in various languages;
·  You design, develop and industrialize solutions based on machine learning algorithms under supervision of a senior & experimented data scientist;
·  You are involved in different innovative projects covering a large business scope such as:
·  Customer behaviour prediction;
·  Predictive maintenance;
·  Asset Performance analysis;
·  New services based on IoT.
·  You participate to the development of innovative concepts regarding design and operation of energy systems, incorporating new technologies and addressing renewable sources of energy such as wind power generation, storage, smart/super grids in a competitive electricity market environment;
·  You work in a team on industrial long-term projects for strategic clients with regular interactions with experts;
·  You help developing our portfolio of activities by facing clients and understanding their needs.

 

·  You hold a Master’s or a PhD degree in Applied Mathematics / physics / Mathematics / Computer sciences;
·  You hold a specialisation in advanced statistics & machine learning
·  Knowledge of numerical analysis and optimisation is an asset;
·  You have a strong interest in IT and are familiar with Python and R;
·  You are open to development environments and methodologies;
·  You have a working knowledge of French and English,
·  You have a strong team spirit;
·  You are dynamic, analytic, rigorous, client oriented, and you have a taste for high-level expertise;
